Adult

bulletAdult Spiritual Formation - A weekly forum which includes Bible studies and discussion led by the Rector or other speakers. Scripture-based video presentations and special music are also part of the adult education program. Sundays 9:15-10:15a.m.
bulletEducation for Ministry - A four-year theological study that helps equip participants to live out their ministries in the church, community and the world. Sponsored by the University of the South, Sewanee, TN, EFM materials cover the Old Testament (first year); the New Testament (second year); church history (third year); and theological and moral choices (fourth year). Weekly, September through May when there is an active class.
bulletBible Studies - Organized and chaired by various volunteers at Good Shepherd. These studies usually run 8 - 12 weeks.

Children

bulletChildren's Church School - Children, ages 4 years through 6th grade, are welcome to Sunday School, beginning with a snack at 10:00 a.m. and they rejoin the congregation at the gradual hymn. During the summer months, the children may join their families for the 10:30 worship or gather downstairs for Bible-based videos and activities for all ages.
bulletYouth Church School - Our 7th through 12th graders meet on Sunday mornings downstairs, beginning at 10:00 a.m. for Bible-based studies and discussion.
bulletNursery - For infants through 4 years, is staffed each Sunday from 10:15-12:15* while parents attend worship service (*children rejoin parents before communion).
bulletVacation Bible School - Held jointly each spring or summer with the local Methodist churches, this event provides 3-5 days of fun-filled, Christian activities and fellowship for children of our church and community, ages 6 years through 9th grades.
bulletYouth Group - 7th through 12th grade youths from Good Shepherd and the local Methodist churches meet on the second and fourth Sundays, 4:0-6:30 p.m. for Christian fellowship, fun, and food, alternating between Oak Forest Methodist and Good Shepherd.
bulletSummer Camp - Offered by the Episcopal Diocese for Western North Carolina. Camp sessions for 2nd through 12th graders are held June through July at Lake Logan, our diocesan retreat center in Canton, NC.
