- Responsible for selecting, planning and presenting spiritually enriching
programs for adults, youths and children. |

Welcoming
- Dedicated to helping Good Shepherd spread the good news of Jesus Christ
through inviting and welcoming visitors to our church and by publicizing
service schedules, sermons, Christian education programs and fellowship
events. |

Newcomers - The
Newcomers ministry helps those new to the Good Shepherd family to participate
in the full life of the church by keeping them advised of what is going on at
Good Shepherd and by extending invitation and assistance as needed. Members of
the congregation are asked to "shepherd" new families who live near them. |
 | Outreach - Provides leadership in the development and
implementation of the Church's outreach to the community, nation, and world
(see Community and Beyond), reviews and
assesses organizations and outreach opportunities and makes recommendations to
the Vestry for the distribution of outreach funds; coordinates hands-on
outreach ministries. |
 | Parish Life - Plans and coordinates parish fellowship gatherings,
which includes coffee hours following each service. |
 | Memorial Garden Committee - Coordinates interments with the Rector
and is responsible for maintenance and landscaping of the Garden, as well as
placing commemorative plaques on the Memorial Garden Board. |
 | Gifts and Memorials - Acknowledges and records gifts received by
the church in honor, or in memory, or in thanksgiving for a person(s) or
event. |
 | Stewardship - Responsible for encouraging the congregation to renew
pledges of time, talent, and treasure; the committee conducts an annual "Every
Member Canvass," formulating and implementing a campaign plan and keeping the
congregation posted on the progress of the campaign. |
 | Finance - Reviews the budget, financial reporting, and status of
the church's finances for the purpose of offering comments and recommendations
to the Treasurer and Vestry regarding the financial planning of the Church. |
 | Telephone - A network of callers who communicate urgent or timely
information to each parish household which doesn't have access to internet
e-mail messaging. The NC and GA coordinators receive messages from the Rector
or the office and activate their respective telephone trees. |
 | Building and Grounds - A group of volunteers who work to maintain
and landscape the building and grounds. |
