Weekly Highlights
SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN training will be held Saturday, May 10 1:00-4:00 p.m. RSVP to the church office. (828/389-3397) All those who work with youth in the church should attend but everyone is invited to attend.
FAR WEST FAMILIES FIRST is offering training for anyone interested in being prepared to participate as an ecumenical faith team member. The training is being held from 6:00 pm to 9:00pm on two evenings, May 27 and May 29 at the First Methodist Church in Hayesville. Men and women are welcome. This is a unique opportunity to live out our faith working with a family that needs respect, encouragement, problem solving skills, connection with resources. BIBLES FOR TROOPS – The outreach committee wishes to thank all of you who contributed to our "Bibles for Troops” campaign. We had set a goal of 100 Rapid Deployment Kits for our service people in Iraq and Afghanistan. We collected enough to purchase 264 kits. That comes out to one kit per member of our church. Bravo Zulu!! Thank you and God bless.
